Recognising the need for safe and contactless payment options, MyCash has added major supermarket and merchant outlets for customers to enjoy around Fiji.

Digicel in a statement today says the MyCash agents and merchant network is rapidly growing, making MyCash and QR Pay more accessible across Fiji.

The statement reads that the MyCash mobile wallet provides Digicel customers with a way to make fast, reliable, safe and convenient daily financial transactions.

“These include sending and receiving money from anywhere in Fiji, receiving money from overseas, buying Top Up for any Digicel prepaid phone, shopping with no fees using QR pay, and even paying bills and making online payments – all at the convenience of your mobile phone.”

Digicel Fiji CEO, Farid Mohammed said since the introduction of the MyCash App, the team has strived to build key partnerships to grow the MyCash brand in Fiji.

“We are delighted to welcome on board New World, Max Val-U, Extra, RB Patel, Hanson’s, Foodcity, CJS Supermarket and more,” Mr Mohammed said.

“MyCash services are also available at Courts, Sports World, Jacks Fiji, Vinod Patel & Company, Kasabias, Five Squares, Subrails, Prouds, Tappoos, Burger King, Exotic Entertainment, Bargain Box and Mobil On The Go service stations including most neighbourhood stores around the country with many more to be added in the coming weeks,” he said.

“Enhancing the digital experience for our customers is vital to us as a Digital Operator and we are always looking to make the experience simple and easy with MyCash.

“We have also seen this take off successfully with our customers opting to use MyCash to pay for groceries at supermarkets, make payments for bills and even do remote payments with merchants listed with our bill pay service.”

Head of Mobile Financial Services, Anup Kumar, said; “Even without a smartphone, our customers can still use the MyCash service to pay for shopping at merchants by dialling *888# and selecting option 2 for ‘Send Money’ and entering the authorized merchant number displayed on a MyCash QR stand at the cashier. Likewise for remote payments or bill payments, dial *888# and select option 4 to get started.”
