THE children of the alleged murder-suicide case in Ba could have been linked to a family case that was pending in court.
This was confirmed in police statement this morning.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said investigators have gathered information indicating the tragic deaths of the two brothers aged three and five years could have been linked to a family case that was pending in court.
“Initial information gathered which is still subject to further investigation, is that the children were the subject of an ongoing custody battle,” Ms Naisoro said.
The children were allegedly murdered by their father who is also believed to have taken his own life.
Ms Naisoro said the bodies of the siblings were found by family members in a car.
She said their father was found a few metres away from the car after allegedly committing suicide
“The post mortem examinations of the three victims will be conducted soon as investigations continue.”
