Murder accused to take plea on October 16

A 20-YEAR-OLD man who allegedly murdered a university student earlier this year will take his plea on October 16.
Saula Temo who is charged with one count of murder appeared before High Court judge Justice Daniel Goundar yesterday.
Mr Temo did not appear in person at the High Court in Suva, but appeared through a video link that was transmitted from the Suva Remand Centre to the High Court.
It is alleged that on May 17 this year at the Fiji Development Bank car park in Suva, Mr Temo allegedly hit a Akuila Salavuki’s head with a piece of timber.
This resulted in Mr Salavuki’s death.
