A LAUTOKA youth group’s prwayer for a multipurpose court for children and teenagers in Natokowaqa has been answered.
PYGMIES (Providing Young Generation Movement In Every Situation) Youth Club had approached the Lautoka City Council and Local Government Minister Parveen Kumar two years ago with a request for a venue where youth in the area could congregate and engage in sports activities.
Today, Mr Kumar will officiate at the ground-breaking ceremony for a dual multipurpose court at 12.30pm.
The court has complete bathrooms and changing room facilities at Selekava Park in Natokowaqa.
“Once it is completed, we will be able to hold sporting events and also workshops for youths in a space they can call their own.”
