Multiple-murder suspect Mohammed Isoof has been denied bail by the Lautoka High Court.

Appearing before Justice Chamath Morais earlier today, Isoof applied for bail in December last year.

Justice Morais said that the New Zealand citizen had not provided sufficient evidence that he was not at flight risk.

The case has been adjourned for mention on February 8.

Mr Isoof is alleged to have murdered the Kumar family of Legalega in 2019.

The bodies of carpenter Nirmal Kumar, wife Usha Devi, their daughter Nikeshni Kajol and Nileshni’s two daughters Sana and Samara were found in August in the Nausori Highlands.
