THE Mudaliar brothers stamped their mark in history walking away from the FMF Gymnasium on Saturday night with two of Fiji boxing’s prized silverware in tow.

Krishnil “The Cobra” Mudaliar was crowned the Fiji lightweight champion after beating Junior Farzan Ali with his younger brother Sachin “The Assassin” Mudaliar out boxing Rahul Kumar for the title of Fiji super-featherweight champion.

“This is all it comes down to,” said Krishnil pointing at the belt.

“For both of us to come into this fight and come out victors we have become champions in our own right,” Younger brother and Fiji super-featherweight champion Sachin was visibly emotional when the results were announced.

“I look back and see the long journey and how you put your everything into boxing,” Sachin said.

“The sacrifice has paid off and it has been worth it.”

Both brothers also acknowledged their father and former Fiji boxer Simmu Mudaliar for his never ending support.

Meanwhile, Nathan Singh has called out Krishnil Singh immediately after the title fight over the weekend.

“I’m calling him out, I want him, and I am ready for him,” Singh said.
