The Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji says only a legal court can now resolve the standoff between Gounder and Patterson Shipping at Ellington Wharf in Rakiraki.

Acting CEO Captain Philip Hill said the ownership of the boat ramp is in dispute.

“And as such legal process is required to resolve the issue in due course,” he said.

Captain Hill said MSAF would not be part of the legal process.

“Communication with all parties are ongoing to resolve the dispute.”

Captain Hill said a legal process will ascertain the ownership of the ramp.
