NOW that campaigning is over, members of Parliament have been urged to come together as a nation that govern for the benefit of all the people.

While addressing MPs during the opening of the new Parliament session yesterday, President Jioji Konrote said there would be disagreements at times, but as MPs they should always know that they are civilised people.

“We can manage those disagreements with civility and respect, keeping before us the ideals that we are elected to solve problems and improve the lives of every Fijian,” Mr Konrote said.
