THE Motibhai Group of Companies hosted its 13th Bushells Fiji’s Biggest Morning Tea today as they continue to further their efforts in the fight against cancer.

During the event, the message on the importance of early presentation to the doctor was emphasised given that cancer is the third leading cause of death in Fiji.

The Fiji Cancer Society stated it was imperative for people to get medically checked and to be aware of their health status.

Motibhai Group Sales Supervisor Jean Whippy said the company was confident that the humble contribution as part of their corporate social responsibility would be a big reward to a patient’s life.

“Raising awareness of cancer is particularly important, early detection and prevention is a priority,” Ms Whippy said.

“During the campaign from June to September, we request business houses and organisations across the country to work closely with the Fiji Cancer Society to host morning tea events to raise funds, which will be directed towards the society to help parents and also conduct awareness programs.”

This is an initiative between The Motibhai Group in partnership with the Fiji Cancer Society.

The event was held at the Motibhai’s Group Office in Walu Bay, Suva.
