A WOMAN who allegedly murdered her daughter informed the court that she was feeling sad when she committed the alleged act.
Rozleen Razia Khan, who is standing trial at the High Court in Suva, is charged with one count of murder.
It is alleged Ms Khan killed her four-year-old daughter on May 6, 2018, at Kasavu in Nausori after she drove their family car into the Rewa river.
During cross-examination, State lawyer Susa Serukai suggested to Ms Khan that her guilty conscience drove her to commit the alleged act.
The mother of three denied the said statement that was put to her by the State lawyer and said she had no idea what she was doing on that day.
Gavin O’Driscoll is representing Ms Khan in this case.
