Mother identifies the body of her three-year-old child

The child who was recovered by Police from waters off Vatutavui in Ba on Monday afternoon was reported missing in January.

Police say the identity of the child’s body found in Vatutavui, Ba has been confirmed as the victim has been positively identified by his mother and is confirmed to be the three-year-old child reported missing on January 30, 2021 from Naqiroso Settlement in Lautoka.

“A post mortem examination will be conducted to ascertain cause of death as investigations continue.”
