A mother and her son shared a COVID safe greeting after being separated by the pandemic for almost a year.

Petty Officer Lee Addison, one of six Fijians serving aboard HMAS Adelaide, ‘fist-bumped’ his mother, Georgina on the Kings Wharf, while wearing gloves and face masks, as required by COVID-19 protocols.

The combat systems supervisor said it was an honour to be back in Fiji to help with the TC Yasa response effort.

More on this in tomorrow’ edition of The Fiji Times.
