The Fiji Trades Union Congress national secretary Felix Anthony says this election is much more than just about change.
At a rally held at the Fijian Teachers Association hall on Thursday he said this election is about our fundamental rights, freedom of expression and the freedom of the press.
“We want democracy in this country,” he said.
“We don’t want to be scared to speak up in this country.” He said as Fiji approached the polls, it was important that the workers discussed their issues.
“They need to understand where the solution is. “I’m glad and happy to say that in our discussions with The People’s Alliance and with the National Federation Party, they have assured us that these issues will be addressed.”
