LAUTOKA’S Shirley Park continued to draw people anticipating the distribution of free food vouchers.

By 9am today, about 30 people were already congregating, saying they heard vouchers would be handed out by Government officials.

A woman, who spoke to The Fiji Times on the condition of anonymity, said “someone” told them that food vouchers would be handed out today.

“I got up at 4am and traveled all the way from Sabeto, Nadi, to be here and these others have also come from the interior and rural places,” the woman said.
