Update: 7:38PM TWENTY-SEVEN Fijian workers will leave to work in New Zealand under the Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) Scheme.

A Government statement issued last Friday said the
workers received their Pre-Departure certificates last Thursday to work for
Heywood Orchard Ltd, Agworks Ltd and Apata Group Ltd under the RSE
scheme.

Fifteen returning workers have been recruited back, 10
by RSE employer Heywood Orchard and five by Apata Group Ltd.

The Ministry of Employment, Productivity and Industrial
Relations Ministry’s deputy secretary Vilimone Baledrokadroka presented the
pre-departure certificates to the selected seasonal worker and also relayed
words of encouragement.

“The
Ministry of Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations is grateful to
you for your hard work. Through perseverance and hard work, you will be able to
achieve your goals and targets. Also, this will allow more from your various
villages to be recruited under the RSE Scheme,” Mr Baledrokadroka said.
