THE Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay continues to expand its properties to cater for their growing guests enjoying their holiday at the resort.

The award-winning five-star resort recently opened the Voi Voi Bar, a relaxed Fijian village style open air venue which relishes Fijian infused and barbecue style food while enjoying ice-cold beers and cocktails specially crafted from local spirits.

Resort general manager Silvano Dressino said the new bar, located at the heart of the resort, was named after the renowned panadanus leaves which iTaukei women used to weave beautiful, traditional mats.

Mr Dressino said the new property was built in a way to resemble a Fijian bure.

He said two more buildings would be built in the same way to accommodate villagers from the neighbouring villages to sell their handicrafts.

The project was officially opened by the Tui Nalolo, Ratu Kini Vosailagi.
