Nakoromakawa villagers Raioma Maravesi and his relative Gabiriele Buli said villagers had come forward willingly after hearing the story of the 21 year old female trainee pilot who was in the fateful flight yesterday.

Twenty five year old Mr Maravesi said they were honoured to be part of the search party this morning.

“It is an honour to be helping police officers and other emergency units search for the crash victims,” said Mr Maravesi.

“We were in our farms yesterday and did not even hear a crash sound or a plane passing by the area.”

Meanwhile Nubunikavula village headman Osea Tabuiga said they were approached at 9.30pm yesterday by police to help them search for the missing aircraft.
