Outgoing ANZ country head Saud Minam says he looks forward to his next challenge and is excited to stay in Fiji and contribute to the vibrant economy, community and culture.

In a media release yesterday, ANZ regional executive for the Pacific, Tessa Price said Mr Minam had done a fantastic job leading the ANZ team in Fiji and thanked him for his dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to the role.

“Mr Minam has been cool, calm and collected when acting under pressure. His enthusiasm and commitment to the role, as well as his ability to listen, learn and adapt is commendable.

We thank him for his dedication over the past five years,” she said.

ANZ will advertise the role externally in the coming days. Mr Minam was at the helm of the bank for the past five years and during his tenure at ANZ Fiji, he oversaw the $10 million refurbishment of ANZ Fiji’s branch network, bringing it up to international standards, as well as advances in digital banking, including the introduction of the ANZ Pacific App to Fijian customers.

He said he had enjoyed every minute of his time at ANZ Fiji and was especially proud of the ANZ Fiji team’s ability to respond to challenges, especially over the past year.

“I look forward to my next challenge and am excited to stay in Fiji and contribute to our vibrant economy, community and culture.”
