Commander Naupoto assured the public during the FBC TV show on Sunday that the military would not entertain extremists and gave the example of people wanting racial or religious supremacy.
He also clarified the military’s loyalty to any government duly elected by the people of Fiji.
I believe these two positions have wider implications and are not restrictive or specific by any means in my view.
To illustrate this point, what would be the military’s view if the newly-elected government in the next election implemented policies which may promote a particular religious or racial group?
Food for thought indeed.
