Midfielder to boost Lautoka squad

NATIONAL midfielder Zibraaz Sahib will boost the Vodafone Lautoka team for the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Champions League semi-final against Marist FC from the Solomon Islands at Churchill Park on Sunday.
Sahib an integral member of the Blues squad missed the group stage and the quarter-final against AS Dragons because of issues with his New Zealand visa.
The 28-year-old will be an ideal replacement for Arami Manumanubai who is serving a two-0match suspension for a red card offence during the final group match.
Lautoka Football Association president Abdul Kadar said there were a lot of expectations from the Sugar City side.
Kadar said slight changes would be made to the starting line-up with the return of Zibraaz.
“The team has been in camp since our arrival last Friday,” he said.
“Training has shifted to the Fiji Football Academy in Ba because Churchill Park is closed in preparations for the big match.
“We are aware that bus-loads of students from the various universities in Suva will be travelling down to Lautoka to support the Solomon club.
“We are calling our fans to turn up in numbers for this game and are urged to wear blue attire.”
Tickets will go on sale at the Lautoka City Council office today.
Kadar said fans wishing to sit in the pavilion should purchase the tickets early.
“There is limited seating in the pavilion,” he said.
– Ticket Prices: Grandstand A/B $10 (adults), $4 (children under-12); Embankment $6 adult, $3 (children under-12); VIP $15.
