Meteorologists meet in Tonga

Update: 1:09PM THREE meteorologists from Fiji are part of the weather specialists from the Pacific attending the third meeting of the Pacific Meteorological Council in Tonga.
They include Fiji Meteorological Services director Ravind Kumar, Senior Technical Officer Sosiceni Dumukuro, and Koji Kuroiwa.
With the theme “Sustainable Weather and Climate Services for a Resilient Pacific”, the council will meet from today until July 23 before the ministerial meeting wraps up the council meeting on Friday.
The meeting is being held at the Faonelua Convention Centre in Nuku’alofa, Tonga with participants from Australia, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, French Polynesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niue, Palau, PNG,Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, USA, Vanuatu, and from some international organisations.
