Mesh company scoops prize

CRP Industries Limited joined its counterparts at the 2017 Fiji Business Excellence Awards, taking home a Commitment to Excellence prize.
Company factory manager Avinesh Lal said CRP Industries Ltd was established in 1992 and was one of the largest manufacturers of wire mesh and related products.
“CRP is the largest manufacturer of Wire Mesh (Galvanised and Reinforcing), goat and pig fence and also the one of the biggest distributors of mild steel rods, wheelbarrows and gothic mesh in Fiji and neighbouring Pacific Islands namely American Samoa, Samoa, Tonga, Kiribati, Tuvalu, Niue, Cook Islands, Nauru, Christmas Island and New Zealand,” he said.
“We manufacture to NZ standards and Australia standards and where circumstances allow, CRP can manufacture mesh to the specific requirement of its customers giving rise to the development of engineered mesh to aid in the design and construction of modern concrete structures. Our products are sold to Fiji retailers and building contractors and exported throughout the South Pacific.”
He said as they commit to achieving excellence in their services, the company would aim to continue to move the up the ladder of success within the FBEA framework.
“We want to be experienced and learn from our weaknesses and implement and improve from this level to achieve the prestigious award.
“We would attribute this win to all our employees for without their hard work and commitment, we would not have been able to win this award.
“We would like thank the board of directors of R C Manubhai Group of Companies and the entire HR team for their faith in us and providing the facilities for us to achieve the award.
“This has been a great lesson for company to see where we stand as an organisation. It also makes us see what are the areas of improvement that needs to be looked at in order to lift our organisation’s performance.”
