FIJIAN rugby fans now have a chance to meet and eat with legends DJ Forbes, the former and inspirational New Zealand 7s skipper, Olympic Games gold medal winning coach Ben Ryan, one of World Rugby’s top referees Rasta Rasivhenge, Australian dual rugby international Lote Tuqiri and 7s rugby king Waisale Serevi next week.
It is free, but fans wishing to do so should be at the four-day 2018 Mana Whey Fiji Coral Coast Sevens at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka, from next Wednesday to Saturday.
“The sponsorship once again throws the gate open for spectators of Fiji to come out and discover the 7s passion,” tournament founder Jay Whyte said during the launch of this year’s competition at the Goodman Fielder International Fiji Ltd headquarters in Suva yesterday.
“There are great rugby starting with the Uprising Youth 7s on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by the Crest Nai Iri competition on Thursday and Friday and through to Saturday with the men’s tournament. We have four days of great rugby and we welcome DJ Forbes, Ben Ryan, Rasta Rasivhenge, Lote Tuqiri and Waisale Serevi. There will be lots of fun and there will be entertainment and competitions, including some fans selected to meet, eat and spend time with these legends.”
