FLYING Fijians head coach John McKee has his hands full this week to secure another win against the New Zealand Maori All Blacks this Saturday in Roturua.

Fiji scored a historic 27-10 win to start its 2019 Rugby World Cup campaign well in the Pacific Series Test.

McKee heads back to the drawing board this week for the Return Test in New Zealand.

“An excellent start for our campaign and it is always tricky at the start of the campaign, especially having the players coming back from overseas not having a lot of game time with their season finishing,” McKee said.

“Five or six weeks ago as we put on the hard yards, we managed to hit the sand dunes and last week at Lawaqa Park and then some really good work on our game plan this week which was really pleasing. The way the boys came together and fought really hard for each other and came out victorious was a good start.

“Certainly in Roturua we are expecting a tough competition and some of the players will get another opportunity to play and also for the players who didn’t play will get an opportunity.

“My intention over these first two games is to give everyone who is fit for selection an opportunity to have a game time.”
