FLYING Fijian Nikola Matawalu will join English club Bath Rugby.
The Bath Rugby Union announced the arrival of the nippy scrumhalf from Glasgow Warriors, Scotland to join fellow Fijian and England rugby rep Semesa Rokoduguni.
Matawalu joined the Warriors in 2012 after impressing for Fiji during the HSBC Sevens World Series and the Flying Fijians rugby 15s side.
The former Fiji age-group player has 59 Warriors caps under his belt whereby he touched down 22 tries.
Known for his quick, creative and astute operator, the 25-year-old has represented Fiji 21 times on the national stage, in both the full 15 and the sevens sides.
“I’m really happy to be joining Bath next season,” Matawalu told remiershiprugby.com.
“They are a very ambitious club with a very talented squad and coaching team. I’m looking forward to testing myself in the Aviva Premiership and top flight of Europe.”
