THE release of the latest sequel to the blockbuster Marvel’s The Avengers attracted thousands of moviegoers to Damodar Event Cinemas in the Central and Western divisions.
Damodar Group of Companies CEO Div Damodar welcomed patrons during the late night screening of Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron at Damodar City Centre in Suva on Wednesday.
He said their cinemas were booked to capacity for the first showing of the highly-anticipated film.
Damodar Event Cinemas general manager Madhu Singh said the first viewing of the film attracted a bigger crowd compared with the release of Furious 7.
“Those that attended the screenings on Wednesday night at the Damodar Event Cinemas, Village 6 and Village 4 in Lautoka were among the first people in the world to see the movie. We screened the film on Wednesday night and because of our time difference in the world, we were the first to release the movie” she said yesterday.
She said they had 1300 patrons at the Damodar City Centre and 2500 patrons in total for their three cinemas turning up to watch the film.
