Maritime top on Jale’s list

IMPROVING the shipping, infrastructure and livelihoods of people living in the maritime areas will be top on the list for Fiji’s former ambassador to Washington, Anare Jale.
Mr Jale will be contesting this year’s general election with the Social Democratic Liberal Party.
He was also one of the founding members of the party and served as it’s vice-president.
“I am dedicated to community and provincial developments in many parts of Fiji and Lau, priorities include shipping, infrastructure and livelihoods for the maritime areas as well as tackling urban youth unemployment, traffic congestion, productivity and labour relations in the urban centres and a revitalised public service,” he said.
Mr Jale has 36 years of experience in public service leadership being the former chief executive officer and secretary of Public Service Commission, permanent secretary for Ministry of Labour and Industrial Relations, and deputy secretary for Regional Development.
SODELPA recently released its first batch of candidates for the 2018 General Election.
The other candidates names are expected to be released soon.
