The Marist Brother’s High School side is aiming for a top finish at the 2022 National Schools’ Swimming Championships.

Team manager Shivneel Raju said the squad of 24 swimmers had prepared thoroughly and were ready to take on the best at secondary school level.

“We are aiming for a top finish at the championship this year. The boys are improving with their times and trying to beat the previous records that have been set,” Raju said.

He added there was a mixture of new and experienced swimmers who were assisting each other in training.

He also thanked the school and the parents of athletes who supported the team.

“Parents support has been really good. Majority of the parents have turned up and supported their kids. Even the school has been quite supportive towards the swimming team.”

MBHS has one of the biggest contingents at the competition this year with only Swami Vivekananda College (33) fielding more swimmers.
