MAJORITY of teachers cannot upload their contracts onto the Fijian Education Management Information System (FEMIS) because they do not know how to do it, says Education Minister Rosy Akbar.
She said there were more than 13,000 teachers and dealing with a staff of that magnitude was a mammoth task.
“Sadly, so many of our teachers cannot upload their contracts on FEMIS because they don’t know how,” she said.
“Why can’t we have a Professional Development (PD) on this in school?”
The Education Ministry has urged teachers who have not yet uploaded their newly-signed e-contracts onto FEMIS to immediately upload their contract.
