A MAN who was allegedly found in possession of 22 live ammunition will appear at the High Court in Suva this morning.
Samuela Waqa, who was charged with unlawful possession of ammunition, was further remanded by the Magistrates Court in Suva yesterday.
Mr Waqa appeared before Magistrate Deepika Prakash.
Ms Prakash said she was instructed to transfer the case to the High Court.
Mr Waqa’s lawyer Iqbal Khan had applied for bail when Mr Waqa first appeared in court last week on Thursday.
In his submission, Mr Khan had said only the High Court could extend any accused person’s stay in police custody.
Mr Waqa’s case would be called before Justice Thushara Rajasinghe today.
