Man fronts court for Davuilevu fatal accident

A 40-YEAR-OLD man charged with one count of dangerous driving causing death has been remanded by the Nasinu Magistrates Court today.

It is alleged that Francis Jitendra Joseph drove a motor vehicle in Davuilevu, in a manner which was dangerous to the public having regards to all the circumstances of the case, thereby causing the death of a 69-year-old man.

Police Prosecutor Constable Setareki Mocevakaca has served full phase of disclosures and has objected to bail.

Magistrate Charles Ratakele has asked Mr Joseph to file a formal bail application.

The case has been adjourned to January 28.
