THE Malolo rugby team anticipates a tough encounter when it faces the unbeaten Nadroga under-23 team in tomorrow’s Vodafone Cup B Division clash.
Boosted with the services of former Nadroga players such as Jiuta Lutumailagi, Iliesa Ratuva and Aca Ratuva, the islanders are confident of giving Nadroga a good game for their opponent.
Both teams have been unbeaten so far and this game will determine the possible winner from the West to face other teams from the North and Central.
Malolo team manager Tevita Sadrata said the Stallions would be tough nut to crack playing on their home turf.
But he has faith in his troops they would deliver the goods despite injuries to two key payers.
Prop forward Nemani Camainakelo and livewire flanker Rusi Nasove would miss the game because of injuries but Sadrata is confident the replacement players would rise to the occasion during the game.
“We have prepared well for the game and we are expecting a tough game,” said Sadrata.
“We will be fielding few new players for the game and we are confident they will pass the test with flying colours.
“Both teams have been unbeaten and it will be interesting to find out the winner after the game.”
Sadrata said his men had studied Nadroga’s game pattern and they had few tricks up their sleeves to counter the Stallions.
“We know Nadroga’s game pattern and we have worked out some tricks to counter them in all facets of the game.
“This is one of our toughest games this season and we will do our best to win.”
Sadrata urged the people of Malolo, fans and loved ones to come out in full force and the support the side.”
The match will kick off at 1pm followed by the HFC Farebrother Sullivan trophy game at 1pm.
