MALAYSIA’S import from Fiji will soon increase after the country’s promotion agency named Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) set a plan to balance trade between the two countries.

This came as a highlight of the Malaysia External Accelerated Mission held at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva today.

MATRADE director Raja Badrulnizam Raja Kamalzaman said Malaysia needed to explore opportunities in Fiji and enhance its bilateral trade.

“I see that there is a lot of potentials for us to grow in many sectors in food and beverages, health care, building materials, and even furniture. We just need to know the market conditions,” he said.
