SEAQAQA satellite town in Macuata is expected to undergo a major face lift as the Ministry for Local Government reveals plans for the construction of the town’s new bus stand and market.
While visiting the proposed site of the two facilities, Minister for Local Government Premila Kumar said the ministry intended to develop the satellite town and the intention was to get the planning going and to get it done very quickly.
“The intention is to put a market, bus stand, carrier stand and all other facilities to go along with it, and also to develop a sports field or the open space that we have,” said Mrs Kumar.
She said this was one of the strategies taken by the Government to stop the rural-urban drift in the country.
