“HOW on earth do you stop this team?! They are simply something else!”
This said the commentator as Amenoni Nasilasila sped towards the try line to score Fiji’s extra winning points to defeat Canada 40-7 in the 2018 London 7s cup quarter-final.
The Jerry Tuwai-captained side wasted no time in their winning run, starting with Semi Radradra’s magnificent play in under 3 minutes of the first half.
And less than three minutes before half time, Sevuloni Mocenacagi scored another try.
Both tries were successfully converted by Vatemo Ravouvou.
Gareth Baber’s boys launched themselves right into the second half when Paula Dranisinukula added another five points to the scoreboard in the first 30 seconds, and a conversion by Ravouvou furthering Fiji’s lead 21-7.
Kalione Nasoko’s try in under three minutes had Fiji leading 28-7.
Less than two minutes left on the clock and Jasa Veremalua’s fancy control of a quick pass from Waisea Nacuqu earned Fiji another try.
“Just magnificent to watch,” the commentators commented as Nasilasila pressed the last try.
Fiji plays Ireland at 1.48am Fiji time.
