Macuata qualifies for Skipper after defeating Ba in sudden death

Macuata has qualified for next year’s Skipper Cup Challenge after defeating Ba 19-14 in a sudden death semi final match held at Subrail Park.

Emotional Macuata coach Meli Tabanicala thanked God for his blessings of victory.

“I won’t cry today but I will in the final match and I take my hat off for the boys for such a superb performance.”

Ba coach Sanaila Silimoana said their performance by reaching the semi finals proved that Ba was not only good in soccer but rugby too.

Yasawa is currently playing against Bua in the second semi final match of the Vodafone Vanua Cup Challenge.

Yasawa is lea ding lead by 3-0.
