Aporosa Lutunauga is the new chairman of the Fiji National Rugby League following a board meeting in Suva on Tuesday.

Lutunauga, who is an Assistant Commissioner of Police, takes on the new role from Viliame Naupoto who had resigned from the FNRL board.

Lutunauga said he intended to develop a five-year plan and conduct reforms within the sporting organisation.

He will lead the FNRL towards the 2025 Rugby League World Cup that will be held in France.
