USING new technology such as the CCTV cameras the Land Transport Authority (LTA) can detect multiple offences.

This was made known in a statement issued by the LTA today.

The statement stated on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 on the Kings Road in Nakasi, the LTA speed camera captured a speed camera offence whereby a vehicle was over speeding and had no front number plate.

“The driver of the vehicle made an obscene gesture which was also caught on camera,” the statement said.

The statement further states that if you drive a vehicle with irregularities and violating road rules, then you will be caught on CCTV camera.

CCTV camera is able to identify multiple traffic infringements on the road to the Land Transport Authority along with the following:

  • Your vehicle speed limits
  • Vehicle registration number and identity
  • Illegal vehicle modification and tinting
  • Vehicles can and will be called in by the LTA for roadworthiness check, etc.
