LTA-Mobil Oil Fiji partner to promote road safety

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has partnered with Mobil Oil (Fiji) to develop eye-catching bumper stickers as it ups the tempo in road safety awareness.

LTA chief executive Irimaia Rokosawa has commended Mobil Oil’s partnership and cooperation in assisting the authority promote road safety in the country.

“Your commitment to supporting our efforts to curb the rising number of road traffic accidents and fatalities during this festive season is truly commendable,” Mr Rokosawa said.

The company is sponsoring the production of eye-catching bumper stickers that will feature messages such as ‘Take you time, not a life’ and ‘Keep a safe distance’ to promote road safety.

Mr Rokosawa said the contribution of those bumper stickers would “undoubtedly play a crucial role in raising awareness and promoting responsible driving habits”.

He also acknowledged the company for allowing drivers to take shelter and rest during long journeys at all their 38 service stations around the country.

Mobil Oil (Fiji) CEO Narongkorn Charusakwong said they were concerned with the increasing occurrences of road accidents, thus their commitment to work with the LTA to raise more awareness.

“Together, we aim to create a safer environment for everyone and reduce the number of accidents on our roads,” Mr Charusakwong said in a statement.

Motorists are encouraged to support the initiative and display the bumper stickers on their vehicles.
