Locomotive crushes man to death; Police investigate

A MAN died last night after he was crushed by a Fiji Sugar Corporation locomotive in Nadi.

The incident happened at about 11:30pm on the Navo bridge.

The deceased is believed to have been asleep on the rail tracks.

The locomotive was transporting cane from Nadi to Lautoka.

The FSC Navo Railway Bridge runs parallel to the Navo Bridge.

Police are investigating the accident.
