SENIRUSI SERUVAKULA has been appointed the head coach of the Fiji rugby team for the National Rugby Championship.
Seruvakula has a vast experience after coaching the Telecom Fiji Warriors for the past three years and he had level three World Rugby accredited coach, International Rugby Board level one strength and condition accredited coach.
He is completing the Australian Rugby Union level three coaching course.
Fiji Rugby Union chief executive officer John O’Connor said Seruvakula’s appointment was made after extensive interviews with the applicants which were conducted by FRU and the World Rugby.
FRU had also further consulted with the World Rugby to select the best applicant.
“We are pleased that he has accepted the job,” O’Connor said.
“He will be responsible in guiding the team to international success and contribute to the leadership of the FRU high performance program.
“This is an opportunity for him to work with and develop Fiji’s current and future elite players.”
