Seventy one local and foreign artists flaunted their best pieces at the National Fine Art Exhibition at Suva’s Grand Pacific Hotel last week.

The Rara Lounge at the GPH played host to the grand exhibition, displaying 217 pieces by local and foreign artists.

Artisans presented their work and cash prizes were offered. The entries were judged by a panel of three.

The winners were:
Mason Lee – National Fine Arts Award
Mr Irami Buli – 1st Runner up
Mr Josaia McNamara – 2and Runner up
Mr Joseph Hing – Emerging Artist
Mr Pete – People’s choice Award

The Fiji Arts Council says they were delighted to give artists a platform to gain recognition and possibly take home a pay check.

They have hosted the exhibition over the years and they look forward to supporting artists in their future work locally, regionally and internationally.
