Liam Neeson is to star in Ted 2. The 62-year-old actor has landed a starring role in Seth MacFarlane’s comedy sequel, which follows the adventures of John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) and his living brown bear, Ted (MacFarlane).
The 40-year-old director-turned-producer announced the news on his Twitter account, by tweeting: “Yesterday Liam Neeson, today Morgan Freeman. Not a bad week for #Ted2. (sic).”
Freeman, 77, will reportedly play a civil rights lawyer in the movie and, although plot details are being kept tightly underwraps, it is thought his character will step in to help the foul-mouthed bear when he finds himself in a spot of legal trouble mid-way through the film.
