LGBTQI community reminded to remain true in their fight

MEMBERS of the LGBTQI community celebrated International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobiaat the Sukuna Park in Suva this morning.

Reigning Adi Senikau Nicole Naituku reminded members of their community to remain true to their fight for justice and protection.

Nicole said for years their cries for justice has fallen on deaf ears and members of their community have lost their lives.

“This day we draw attention to the ongoing discrimination against the LGBTQI community,” Nicole said.

They marched from the Flea Market in Suva to Sukuna Park as part of the program.

Rainbow Pride Foundation Amasai Jeke said they are working with police in helping members of the community access justice.
