Lelean through to under-19 final

LELEAN Memorial School defeated Ratu Kadavulevu School 14-12 in the under-19 grade semi-final of the Eastern Zone Rugby competition at Ratu Cakobau Park’s ground two on Saturday.
RKS scored two tries and one successful conversion to lead 12-0 in the first half.
LMS came in strong with a converted try to hooker Waisake Balewai to trail 12-7. Two yellow cards were flashed in the game.
The boys from Davuilevu came firing in the second half with a try to lock Emosi Draiva and a conversion by flanker Matia Qiolevu to stamp the Nausori-based school a spot for the U19 final.
Manager Losalini Mainalulu said the boys pulled up in the second half which resulted in a win.
“The boys stuck to the game plan as compared with the first half, they had a shaky start.
“These boys are part of the Fiji Rugby Academy and we’re thankful to Seremaia Bai for helping and grooming these boys as they deserve to win,” Mainalulu said.
In the other match Queen Victoria School defeated Tailevu North College 38-3 to claim a spot.
