DEFENCE lawyer Ana Tuiketei yesterday presented the Raiwaqa Police Station’s diary as evidence for the case of a retired military officer who is on trial at the High Court in Suva.
Wame Waqavanua, 57, who is charged with one count of murder, appeared before High Court judge Justice Salesi Temo.
Ms Tuiketei, while presenting the evidence, stated that Mr Waqavanua had called in and later reported in person to lodge a complaint at the Raiwaqa Police Station early on November 23, 2015.
Ms Tuiketei produced the Raiwaqa Police Station’s diary in which it was stated the accused called in at 3.12am and then presented himself at the station at 3.30am.
She told the court that Mr Waqanavanua called and reported in person at the station for police assistance.
