FORMER Fiji 7s rep Ulaiasi Lawavou will spearhead Waicoba Crusaders’ campaign against the powerful Tuva Highlanders in the BLK Nadroga Rugby Union franchise competition this afternoon.
The New Zealand-based flanker will assist his skipper and Nadroga rep Iosefo Sania in the much anticipated Pool A decider.
Crusaders coach Aisea Vausitoga said the side needed a win to top their pool and his troops were ready for the battle.
He said the game would be an uphill battle for his boys as they would face majority of the Nadroga players in the Tuva side.
“I know it will be a tough test and we will give our very best to win,” said Vasuitoga.
“We narrowly lost to Sigatoka Bulls 20-15 in our earlier game and we will be out for a win against Tuva.
“Tuva is laced with many big names but it will not deter the boys from giving their best shot.”
Vasuitoga has called on the Crusaders fans to come out in numbers and support the team. The Crusaders is made of players from Nokonoko and Waicoba and the inclusion of Lawavou will boost the side.
“We are calling on the fans to come out in big numbers and cheer on the boys,” Vasuitoga said

Tuva is coached by Nadroga rugby coach Esala Nauga.
The game will be held at Lawaqa Park at 2.30pm. Meanwhile, in other matches Conua Chiefs to face Sigatoka Bulls and Sunset Wai Stormers to battle against Malomalo Sharks.
