Lautoka Yasawa Zone: Three records set

THREE records have been set at the Coca-Cola Lautoka Yasawa Zone meet.

Natabua’s Tiko Batibasaga broke a 22-year-old senior boys shot put record with a throw of 13.92m

The old record of 13.59m was set in 1997.

Jasper Williams High School jumper Adi Matevakatini set a new record of 11.12m in the senior girls’ triple jump breaking the old record of 11.02.

Leone Varayame of Saint Thomas also set a new record in the sub-junior boys’ javelin with a throw of  39.76m old record 26.05m last year.
