RESIDENTS in a rural Lautoka community claim schoolchildren and the elderly have to walk up to 3km to and from their homes because of poor bus services in the area.

Mohammed Raja a former advisory councillor and resident claimed about 300 people were affected by Classic Buses Limited’s decision to limit services to Vaivai Bandrama.

He also claimed he had written to the Fiji Roads Authority and Land Transport Authority and visited Classic Buses Limited early last month about the issue.
