Lautoka faces 24-hour water supply disruption

Update: 5:05PM A 24-hour water supply disruption is expected to affect some areas in Lautoka as Water Authority of Fiji plans to carry out repair work on the water supply valve at Sabeto Village junction.
In a statement, WAF has advised its customers
to store enough water in advance and use it wisely during the disruption period.
Repair works will be carried out
from 9am on Saturday, August 9 until 9am on Sunday, August 10.
water carts will be servicing the affected areas until supply is restored. Supply
is expected to normalise by 10am on Sunday, the statement read.
areas likely to be impacted are Vuda, Lomolomo, Viseisei, Lawaki, Wairebetia,
Velovelo, Saru, Natabua, Saru Back Rd, Tavakubu, Kashmir, Kermode, Field 40,
Balawa, Topline, Banaras, Natokowaqa, Simla, Tavakubu Rd, Waiyavi, Lautoka
City, including industrial and commercial areas, Namoli Village, Sukanivalu Rd,
Jinu, Drasa Vitogo and Rifle Range.
